Oh Charlotte Tilbury, pretty much every product you release I end up loving. It was so difficult to not buy everything. Seeing as I went in solely for the Matte Revolution Lipstick in Glastonberry, and ended up with a proper mini-haul.
Once again, I get color matched for a foundation sample, and then end up buying the whole thing. The Light Wonder foundation just applied so nicely and looked so natural. It’s a great light to medium coverage that I like to apply with fingers and buff out with a buffer brush. It feels very light weight and not too tacky once it sets. Not to mention at less than $50, it’s a pretty good price point for high-end base.
The Dolce Vita palette. I have been listening to Brooke (as well as some other bloggers) fawn over this palette for months. While in photos it is incredibly gorgeous, it wasn’t until I swatched this beautiful quad that I knew in my heart I’d be devastated if I walked away without it. The pigments are so creamy and blend together seamlessly. This past week I’ve been using a lot of the top left and bottom right in a subtle smokey look. The gold bottom left is a little harder to layer up as it seems a bit more sheer, but once you pack it on it is so incredibly gorgeous as a mid-shade.
The Color Chameleon Color Morphing Eyeshadow Pencil in Black Diamond was another one of those I didn’t know I needed it until I saw how it looked on me purchases. Smudging out needs to be done relatively quickly after application because once it sets, it sets. It does smudge out into a gorgeous gray with just the right amount of sparkle.
There aren’t too many things that I can say about the Matte Revolution lipsticks that you haven’t already read. Simply put, for a matte they aren’t as drying as many counterparts, they stay for hours, and the shades are to die for. I picked up Glastonberry and Love Liberty. Two undeniably gorgeous colors for Fall/Winter. I’ve been wearing Glastonberry around the house even if I don’t plan on going out, just because it makes me happy.
Do you guys have any brands that just work for you?
