This week has been a douzy. Despite how hectic it has been, how fun is it to say douzy. Douzy douzy douzy. Ok, enough of that. In my quest of trying to keep to a schedule, I totally fell behind a week, sorry about that you guys. Do you ever miss a deadline, and the more time that passes, the less you want to actually accomplish it? That’s how this post was. I seriously got this box in the mail like 3 weeks ago. The only thing that gave me motivation is that I really didn’t want to post an April review in May. Do you ever do that with projects/posts/etc? Anywho, on to the goods.
This point should be pretty simple and straight to it, as most of you have probably tried the Benefit POREfessional bePORE (fine, I’ll stop trying to be punny, but I couldn’t resist that time). It’s got a little bit of color to it, smooths over pores, prepares nicely for the base… Overall it’s great, but with how quickly I go through primer, it’s a little on the steep side for me for everyday use.
Next up is the little tube of Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream. Maybe it’s because my sense of smell is not all that great, maybe it’s because my little rollerball of the original Daisy is kind of old, but I really didn’t notice that much of a difference between the two scents. They do both smell nice, but are a little too sweet for me.
Oh does this Illume Tonka Noir candle smell lovely! It’s light and clean smelling, without having that overwhelming fragrance that can sometimes irritate my allergies. But the real draw for me wanting to get the full size of it, is the adorable hammered tin container it comes in. It would just look so cute sitting on a vanity. Plus it’d make a super cute q-tip container when you’re done with it.
I’m not a fan of the plain Jane Iredale Just Kissed by itself, but the Lip Plumper version of it in Rio is pretty cool. The mint and ginger leave a great tingly feeling, and the color is surprisingly pigmented. Lasts well enough through the ‘how many cups of tea can Emmy drink before it’s worn off’ test too. Verdict was 4, though that was only two hours… Ha.
We all know how much I adore lavender scented things, so I was looking forward to trying out the Mt. Sapola Lavender-Chamomile Lotion. While it smells AH-MAE-ZING, the formula is just a little to light when it comes to the amount of hydration I like. So will def use up the sample, but not so much repurchase.
I HAVE WAY TOO MUCH OF THIS STUFF RIGHT NOW. Seriously, I have the big bottle of Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil, the little travel size bottle, and then like 5 (now 6) of the little vial tubes of it. It’s a good thing I kind of like this stuff, because I’m going to be using it for a while still. That being said, I like the primer version of this much more than the actual oil.
