Another month, another edition of favorites. The days are getting shorter again (boo for not being able to do photos after work soon), mornings are getting colder, and I’m going to have to switch back to my heavier duvet cover soon. On the plus side, I’ve really been feeling these colors (so what if I’m clinging to Summer for as long as I can)…
I originally got this Gorjana necklace in my Rocksbox subscription (similar to rent the runway, but for jewelry – thoughts about it here), but I just couldn’t bear to part with it. So I ended up buying it for keeps. It is kind of the perfect length for every day, goes with everything, and is great for layering with other accessories. I wear this a lot.
The reformulated Dior Diorshow mascara has made it to my main makeup bag that gets tossed in my work tote. Meaning it’s surpassed the Tarte Gifted for my everyday choice. I was shocked too. I just did a dedicated post about it the other week here, so won’t ramble on too much. Bottom line is that I love it.
I’m really not one for any cream type blushes, but this one from L’Oreal has the greatest sheen to it. Alone, the Visible Lift Blush gives a really nice sheer wash of color that’s great at reflecting light, but where it really excels is when you pair it over your normal blush choice. I’ve particularly like the Peach Gold shade on top of the Sleek powder blushes I picked up in London. The texture is kind of bouncy/spongey feeling, and you really don’t need a lot to get the look you’re going for. Not to mention it blends out really well without smudging your base.
After hearing a bunch of other bloggers rave about the Infallible eyeshadows, I had to pick up a few. While I liked them, I didn’t see the mass appeal until Mandy over at A Girl, Obsessed mentioned that since it’s a pressed powder, that you get a way prettier color by applying it with your finger instead of a brush. Game. Changer. I’d already been using this color in my crease, but wasn’t in love with it until that hint. Thanks, Mandy!
Though they aren’t pictured, I’m including LulaRoe Leggings. I’m usually not one to get hyped up about direct sales merchandise – I never really got into the whole Younique/Jamberry/MaryKay/Arbonne crazes. Most of the time, I’m pretty wary about the whole process. Then my sister started selling LulaRoe and my interest was piqued by their leggings. Seriously comfy, super soft fabric (+Plus: they aren’t see through). I’ve pretty much been living in them nights/weekends. If direct sales are your thing, there’s a bunch of cute patterns/styles to boot.
