It’s safe to say that I’ve been saving up my Birchbox points for a while. I first started hoarding them because I didn’t know what to use them on since most of the stuff I wanted was so much more than the points I had. Then it got to the point where I didn’t know if I wanted to get a big item and treat myself, or get a bunch of little necessities. Dilemmas, amirite?
Welp, my need for a new bottle of shampoo and conditioner during my attempt at a no beauty spend ended up deciding for me. I originally got mini sizes of Dear Clark in one of my first few Birchboxes and fell in love. Not only does it leave my hair incredibly soft, the smell speaks to my little Oregonian heart. I don’t really know exactly how to describe it, except that it smells like what I imagine is a sexy, hygienic, lumberjack would smell like.
Plus it’s great for color or keratin treated hair. No phosphates, sulfates, and also appears to be paraben-free unless I’m totally reading the ingredients list incorrectly. Anecdotally, it doesn’t weigh my hair down so it looks more voluminous, leaves it shiny without looking greasy, and super hydrated. Love. Love. Love.
My friend Alex recommended this mascara to me forever ago when she first learned about my affinity. Ok, problem, I have a masacara problem. I want them all. #GottaCatchEmAll Needless to say I will let you know what I think of Cargo‘s TexasLash as soon as I put it through the standard tests.
After getting one of the LOC lipsticks and listening to Brooke rave about their shadow sticks, I was so excited when the One & Done Shadow Stick Trio – Rise & Shine came back in stock. Shades from top to bottom: Day Trip, On Point, and Impress Me. Well I’m pretty impressed with Impress me. I mean just look at that swatch. Not to mention these hardly move once they’re set. And it comes with a duo sharpener. #Points!
Then there are all of the little deluxe goodies that were included! While I’ve really only used the Lollia Shea Butter Handcreme so far – which by the way seems amazing so far! – I’m glad to have the rest to add to my gym bag stash since it was running low and will report as trialled.
I mean who doesn’t love a good haul that ends up costing you $0. It was so worth saving up all of those points for. What do you think of the various rewards/loyalty programs that sites offer?
