I thought I’d do something a little different for my favorites this month. One of the best ways to get inspiration for posts and to keep that blogging motivation high, is to read other blogs. Now, I don’t even want to tell you how much time I actually spend reading other blogs (spoiler: it’s a lot), but I wanted to share a few of my favorite bloggers, instagramers, and youtubers that I’ve got mad #BloggerCrushes on lately.
Bloggers
I’ve been reading Coffee & Eyeliner for a while now, even since back before Allie changed blog names. If you’re a regularish reader, you’ve probably seen me tag her in some of the bbloggers tags I’ve filled out. I love how you can really feel her personality through her writing, and she just seems like someone I’d be friends with if we lived closer. Haha. Most recently I’ve really enjoyed her posts on her Colorpop Lippie Stix haul, Spring Scents, and talking about her palettes collection.
I’ve been following John, It’s Only Makeup for probably about a month now. I love that she features a good mix of both high end and high street brands. In particular I’ve really been liking her posts on her 3 beauty essentials, NYX Butter gloss, and MooGoo soothing cream. One of the things that I really like about her style is how candid she is, it never feels like she’s sugar coating anything – she just tells it how it is.
Can we talk about how fantastic and put together @theglowedit‘s feed is? I mean, she’s a beauty editor in London, so she knows what she’s doing, it’s just so on point all of the time. I aspire for my feed to resemble her’s more one day.
Pretty product photos, awesome #FOTDs, and funny memes, @betablinx85 has been one of my favorite feeds for a while. She is super sweet, and I love the way she incorporates her product reviews into just enough information without being too overwhelming for a tiny phone screen. She also gives me major brow envy, seriously they are always on fleek.
I love how simple @ummbaby‘s style of photos is, everything just looks very purposeful and in focus. Not busy element or tone wise, same general color scheme, and her placement of props is very complementary to the subject. Just what I look for in someone’s instagram.
Youtube
1. Claudia Sulewski. I know that I am super late to the bandwagon, I mean she has over a million subscribers. Apparently I live under a freaking rock. The first video of her’s I watched was of her trying to do her morning routine blindfolded. It not only was a really fun video, but I really appreciate, not appreciate but more like am in awe of, how awesome she is with her video editing. From there I really liked her video on how she edits her instagram photos, and I also get some major envy from her room tour.
2. Tay at Tay’s Life Unscripted. You’ve probably already seen me give her shout outs and general blogger love before. She is just so endearing and relatable in her videos, and I love that she isn’t afraid to be a bit goofy in them. Check out her review a couple Lorac Palettes, a BH Cosmetics themed “Get Ready With Me”, and her would you rather colab video. You won’t be disappointed.
3. This one is a bit of a recent discovery, as in I discovered it about a week ago because she did a few videos with Ruth at A Model Recommends. Needless to say, I’m hooked. I’ve watched about 3 hours worth of Caroline Hirons videos within the past two days. She doesn’t edit down her videos really, so they’re all a little on the longer side, but she is super funny. There’s just something about her humor that I find cracking. Lately I’ve really liked her videos on her empties, her what’s new in March 2015 joined by Ruth, and on favorite spfs.
