I don’t know about you guys, but I watched a lot of not-actually-that-scarry-scarry movies on Netflix throughout all of October. Especially with Ash Vs Evil Dead premiering over Halloween weekend. Which by the way is utter perfection in overly cheesy slapstick anti-horror. I might not like it as much as Army of Darkness and I’d make a “sequel is never as good as the original” joke, but since it’s a trilogy + TV series now, it doesn’t quite work.
Oh boy have I ended up loving this little tube of Sephora Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer. I initially picked it up to test it out as a dupe for the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer and it has quickly become my go to product. It is a perfect shade match for me, doesn’t crease, has a great light-weight consistency, blends out well, and doesn’t hurt the wallet. #Winner.
Speaking of hurting you wallet, the aisle of doom in Sephora is quite possibly the most dangerous place for me to walk through. It is full of those little trinkets and travel sizes of things you didn’t know you wanted and probably don’t need, but will end up buying anyway. This was one of those impulse purchases. The Dinosaurs on the packaging got me. Plus the Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Lip Balm smells like fruit snacks. I picked up the color spilled wine, and when applied it is such a gorgeous sheer berry color. Honestly, it brings together my favorite childhood things and my current favorite things. Now excuse me while I drink some wine, eat fruit snacks, and watch Jurassic Park…
I’m a bit of a Soap & Glory fan girl (especially when I’m in Europe and can get my hands on their ridiculously wonderful and well-priced makeup)! One day when I was having Ulta for lunch, I saw that they were being stocked again and Flake Away went home with me. It is just scrubby enough before dissolving and pretty moisturizing to boot. Love using this pre-shave or pre-tan routines. Probably gonna repurchase this tub once I’m out too.
The Benefit Watt’s Up is definitely a shopping my stash rediscovery. Excluding foundations, I tend to gravitate towards powders a lot more often than I do creams. However, I have been loving this little gem lately. It applies so easily and blends out even easier. I also really like using it to do a layered highlighter look with a bit of the Charlotte Tilbury Film Star Bronze & Glow dabbed on top.
I’m going to pre-apologize for this inclusion in the monthly faves. I found it in the clearance section on the same Ulta day I mentioned above. The pages have even been pulled from the Ulta website, so I doubt it’ll be restocked. I’m hoping Ulta will see this and decide to bring it back more permanently (#DreamBigEm). But seriously, if you see the Ulta Dual Phase Body Wash in-store, buy all of it. The scents are heavenly and it is crazy moisturizing for a body wash. My only complaint is that I wish it were a pump bottle so it’d be easier to use in shower.
