A few weeks ago Analesha (Check out her blog Lipstick And Bubbles here), one of the lovely bloggers I’m friends with on Twitter, proposed that we do a blogger swap. Picking out a few of our favorite beauty products to send the other that they wouldn’t usually be able to get a hold of in their country. I was pretty ecstatic about the idea and couldn’t wait to start putting everything together. Then a few days ago I received this parcel in the mail all the way from New Zealand!
Not only did she send some delicious treats (two of which are now some of my favorites), she also took the time and wrapped up all of the items, and wrote up snippets of why she choose them and what she thinks of them! The amount of care and effort that went into her box was incredible. It was beyond thoughtful and I am so excited to try everything she included. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Analesha! [=
Seriously those Pascall Pineapple Lumps? Those lasted about a day. They’re basically pineapple flavored chews covered in milk chocolate. In other words, delicious! White chocolate in general is probably my favorite type, this brick also had lemon and those fizzy pop things, so yep, def a fan.
The first few items I opened were the Collection Naturally Matte Foundation, Designer Brands Eye Shadow Palette, and Australis 3-in-1 Cream to Powder Foundation/Concealer. While I haven’t had a chance to try these as much as the others yet, I’m looking forward to trying out some fun color combos.
Chi Chi is a brand that I’ve seen all over Instagram, I would be remiss to say I hadn’t been wanting to try their Viva La Diva Lipstick for months. The color in question is Trolley Dolly, a beautiful, bright, fuschia color. It’s a great addition to my lipstick stash, which is surprisingly void of any pink. As you can see from the top swatch in the picture below, it is pigmented, not matte, but not shiny either. Just a nice satin finish that applies and wears well.
The swatch underneath is of the Make Up Design (MUD) Lipstick in Pretty Please. It’s a lot more sheer of a shade as you can see from the double swiped swatch on the bottom. However, though it is not as pigmented it has a great hydrating finish/feel to it.
I haven’t had an event to try the Kmart Lashes to, but Analesha swears by this brand and I’m really looking forward to testing them out soon. I can’t wait to see how they hold up to my good ole’ faithful Eyelure Lashes. I also got a tube of Collection No Clumps Mascara. But after initially swatching the little Lots Of Love Eyeshadow Palette in 02 See A Penny was a clear winner for me.
I have probably used these shades for the past 5 days straight. While they have a lot of fallout, they blend so so well together, and all complement the others’ undertones. Not to mention the brown/bronzey colors really play up my blues!
Unfortunately, shipping things internationally can incur some in fragile handling. While this gorgeous blush from Collection was a little too broken up to repair with the rubbing alcohol trick, I do have an extra loose powder container from a Bare minerals foundation laying around that I plan on transferring it to.
Thanks again for sending me these amazing goodies Analesha! You put together such a great little bundle. You can check out her blog here, twitter here, and instagram here. I’m definitely loving these products, and am already looking for ways to get my hands on some more of those Pineapple Lumps! Are there any products you want to try, but can’t easily get a hold of?
