The nice thing about those beauty subscription boxes that I’m a little obsessed with? I always have a bit of an arsenal of mini sized beauty products. Here are the bits and bobs that made to cut to accompany me on my travels to Africa. I’m not intending to check my bag, so being able to fit all of the liquidy items into that teeny tiny little quart bag allowance was important to me.
➥ Skyn Iceland Glacial Cleansing Cloths (x2): I’m not sure how much access to water we will have, and I know it will be super dusty most places we go. These are the only cleansing cloths that don’t make my skin have an adverse reaction. I’m bring two packs because I’d hate to run out of these.
➥ DERMAdoctor MED eTATE: These are deodorant wipes! There is still Aluminum, but it is paraben free. I haven’t had the chance to use these before, but will let you all know how they hold up when I get home.
➥ Josie Maran Argan Cleansing Oil: Looking forward to trying this little cleansing oil.
➥ Origins GinZing Eye Cream: Because I won’t be able to check the baggage I’ll get underneath my eyes.
➥ Travel toothpaste!
➥ Ren Evercalm Global Protection Day Cream: Just a little something extra in the moisturizer department incase my skin freaks out from actually seeing the sun (there is no sun in Portland, only grey).
➥ Boscia Blotting Linens in Lavender: These are super old, but they will be a welcome addition since it’ll be so warm.
➥ Bumble & Bumble Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner foil packet: This should be enough for two uses or so. I’m also taking binder clips to secure them shut.
➥ bareMinerals Complexion Rescue in 04 Suede: I’ve been using this since it was launched in the states, and it’s the perfect all around bb/cc/tinted moisturizer answer for me. It goes on a little heavy, but sinks in really well and leaves a nice finish.
➥ Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Renewal Oil: I had this little bottle left over from a different sample, so simply filled it up with my favorite hair oil at the moment. Especially since I’m gonna be exposed to so much sun and pollution, gotta keep the locks hydrated.
➥ Clinique Lash Power Feathering Mascara: It doesn’t clump, and will stay put through the heat – but not too waterproof that I won’t be able to take it off at night without eye makeup remover
➥ MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Eyes liner in 2L: Just enough color so I don’t look like a zombie, but won’t look awful when I inevitably smudge my eyes.
➥ Benefit It’s Potent Eye Cream: I’m actually taking this little mini to Allison ^^
➥ Be A Bombshell Eye Base: Easy to use cream shadow, goes on pretty sheer, wears off evenly without primer.
➥ Goody Spin Pins: Of course I’m bringing these. I am insanely happy that my hair will be long enough to put up at points too.
➥ Flonase: Planes make my allergies go nuts. Nuts I tell you.
➥ Neutrogena Pure & Free Liquid SPF 50: It’s Africa, of course I’m taking sunscreen aside from the SPF in my bareMinerals.
➥ Febreeze to go spray: Won’t have access to laundry facilities very often you say? This should help a little bit.
➥ Batiste Dry Shampoo in blush: Almost as much of a necessity as the SPF…
What can’t you travel without?
